Creating video games is about much more than learning how to use development tools. It is a process of fostering creativity, design skills, and the ability to deliver complete interactive experiences. In the Graphic Design (Game Art) programme at the University of Humanities and Economics in Łódź, students gain hands-on experience by developing original projects inspired by professional GameDev standards.
One of these projects is Frontline of Despair, a game prototype created by Myron Matselyukh. Developed in Unreal Engine 5, the project showcases the practical skills and interdisciplinary knowledge students acquire throughout their studies.
As part of the project, the author was responsible for:
- Narrative Design,
- Level Design,
- Visual Programming,
- Environment Art.
The project demonstrates how classroom knowledge is transformed into original game productions, helping students build the practical competencies sought after by the video game industry.
Watch the Frontline of Despair showcase and discover what students of the Graphic Design (Game Art) programme at the University of Humanities and Economics in Łódź can create.
