Na naszych zajęciach z Creative writing postanowiliśmy wczuć się w atmosferę zbliżającego się Halloween. Razem ze studentami 1. roku filologii angielskiej zabraliśmy się za tworzenie alternatywnego zakończenia fantastycznej opowieści z przepięknymi ilustracjami autorstwa Emily Carroll pt. „Our neighbour’s house”, którą możecie przeczytać tutaj:

When she woke up, she realised that she is completely alone. There was a sound coming from the window. When she looked there, she saw her sisters and her dad, happier than ever. She smiled.
Suddenly, she felt a splitting headache. She woke up, this time for real, and saw her dad sawing her leg off.

I left my house to find my sisters. It was getting dark and I realized I was lost. When I was trying to find my way back home, I heard strange noises coming from the bushes. Then I saw a group of large wolves. They started to run after me. I was trying to escape but I fell over and rolled down the cliff.
I opened my eyes and realized that I was in hospital. My sisters were standing in front of me. They were glad that I was alive.
On the wall there was a picture of a snowman. He was staring at me...

I decided to go hunting on my own. I was looking for some prey but there were no animals around. I couldn’t come back not having eaten anything, so I kept walking around. I believed that finding food and water would help me survive. But I didn’t know that the further I went, the closer I came to the mysterious man. I was freezing and starving to death. Suddenly, I heard familiar voices calling my name...

I need to run away.
I can’t see anything, just hear a voice.
He is standing right there beside me.
I turn around and see a snowman with the face of my father.
He hugs me and my heart freezes.
