The AIrON AHE Student Research Group team took part in the intensive, 24-hour FCP Hackathon: Łódź_Hack, whose goal was to create innovative solutions based on municipal programming interfaces (APIs).
Although the team did not reach the podium, the computer science students presented
a mature, stable and practically valuable MVP, demonstrating impressive determination and professionalism.

Team and role distribution

The AIrON participants worked through a complete four-phase project cycle: Kickoff → Build → Integration → Presentation, proving that they can manage time and scope even under extreme conditions.

Core Team:

  • Grzegorz – CS.3 PUW → Backend, API
  • Kacper – CS.5 full-time → Frontend, UI/UX
  • Atlas – CS1 → Coordination, Architecture, Presentation

Support Team:

  • Anuoluwapo – CS6 → Usability research, UI/UX evaluation
  • Mahdi – CS1 → Technical consulting, database

Each team member contributed real value, and the cooperation ran smoothly - an achievement in itself given the short timeframe.

Key achievement: a stable MVP + AI module

During the hackathon, the team created a Municipal Services Portal integrating:

  • secure user login,
  • event browsing,
  • a municipal discount system,
  • transactional mechanisms,
  • API modules provided by the organizers.

The strongest element of the project turned out to be the AI extension, which analyzed and automatically categorized reviews of municipal services, simplifying the work of city officials. This feature went beyond the hackathon requirements and significantly distinguished the team in terms of substance and technology.

The team demonstrated strong project discipline, delivering a solution that was not only functional but also stable, architecturally well-designed, and professionally presented.
