Online Studies

The Polish Virtual University is an e-learning platform of the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz allowing to conduct studies and courses via the Internet. The offer of the Polish Virtual University covers 1st and 2nd degree studies, post-graduate studies and e-leaning courses. Studying in the PVU educational platform gives the opportunity to earn qualifications without the necessity of burdensome traveling or giving up professional and family obligations. Aside from this – thanks to the constant access to didactic materials – you may study whenever and wherever you want.

The Polish Virtual University offers the possibility to take up part-time studies with the use of methods and techniques of remote education in the following faculties:

These studies combine traditional education during 23 sessions per semester at the seat of the University with the use of modern remote teaching tools.

Conduct of studies with the use of remote education methods and techniques contributes to implementation of the horizontal policy of the European Union – information society. The PVU Remote Teaching Platform is one of the largest ones in Poland. It is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and contains all the didactic materials necessary in the process of education. You may study at any convenient time and location. This is why education with the use of the Internet is mainly an offer for : 

  • those who do not have time to regularly travel to the university
  • working mothers raising small children
  • the disabled
  • compatriots living abroad

The PVU platform enables, inter alia:

  • access to didactic materials thanks to the “Elearning sources library”
  • making the conducted chat (webcast) more attractive by enabling transfer of sound and attaching files for presentations (.pdf, .doc, .ppt, graphical files etc.);
  • using field bulletin boards assigned to every subject
  • using internal mail
  • direct access to news of the PVU and UHE websites

Traditional classes constitute a supplementation of teaching conducted via the Internet. UHE has appointed remote education advisors who will help in solving educational and organizational problems during regular duty hours.
